Portland Area Congregations
The Portland congregations of the United Church of God are part of a world-spanning organization. We have congregations throughout the United States, Canada and on all major continents. We have two congregations in the Portland area - one in Vancouver Washington and the other congregation in nearby Hood River Oregon. Portland is famous for roses and Hood River is a major wind surfing location. Church Activities include: Weekly church services, regularly scheduled Bible studies, activities for teens and young adults, summer campouts, church social activities and public service works. Our mission is to preach the original Gospel of the Kingdom of God and to prepare a people for that kingdom. Our home office is in Cincinnati Ohio.
Our Ministers
Our pastoral staff have years of speaking and counseling experience. They are dedicated to provide education, encouragement, and nurturing to congregations in the Word of God. Our Pastor, Robert Dick, is active in national and global aspects of the overall organization as well as providing pastorate services for the local Portland congregations. A father of 2 sons and husband for over 4 decades, Bob has a mature perspective on life and his dedication to God.
